"A Life of Dreams" is a concept record that is one long dream sequence that takes place over the length of the album. It is to be interpreted in any which way you like. While the songs do have individual meaning, the overall theme is recurring, which is why the lyrics reflect off of the dreamlike music, as shown in "nightmare" sounding songs like Xmas and Rodents, and euphoric noise in the title track, Gasoline, and Pueblo Magico.
